The new line of XTV terminal blocks is the first product line with Phoenix Contact's new Push-X connection technology. Compared to the existing Push-in connection technology, the Push-X technology enables the use of all types of wires for direct wiring.
A high level of convenience is provided without any effort or tools. This is possible thanks to the open connection chamber in the delivery state. Pressing the inserted conductor causes the pre-tensioned contact spring to be released, even when using the smallest flexible conductors, and a reliable contact is automatically established. This makes it possible to reduce installation time and speed up electrical installation. To disconnect the conductor, it is necessary to use the orange pressing element, as in Push-in technology. It opens the connecting chamber and at the same time tightens the contact spring.
The pressure element always clearly displays the state of the camera, regardless of the diameter of the conductor or the position of the terminal block. The XTV product range currently covers three cross-sectional ranges: 6, 10 and 16 mm². Due to the multi-functional properties of pass-through and multi-pin terminals, they can be used in various control cabinet systems and in the field. Tests that go beyond the requirements of standard norms allow Push-X connection technology to be used even in industries with high requirements for vibration, gas tightness and strength. Thanks to the double functional shaft, the XTV terminal blocks can be freely combined with the terminal blocks and accessories of the Clipline complete terminal block system.
