Compact voltage relay with a maximum of functions
The ZUBR D2 red voltage relay protects against critical high and low voltage surges, as well as zero interruption. In the event of an emergency, the voltage relay turns off the load, and when it returns to normal, it turns it back on. The wide functionality of the voltage relay allows you to optimize the number of activations thanks to individual settings for your network.
Since the modern shield already includes a zero bus, the presence of zero transit in the device is no longer relevant. From 2024, all two-module voltage relays will be connected using three terminals.
High accuracy of voltage measurement thanks to the TrueRMS algorithm
TrueRMS reduces the effect of network interference on voltage measurement accuracy when the voltage shape is different from a sine wave. Thanks to this algorithm, the relay will turn off the load before the voltage surge adversely affects the connected devices.
Professional off-load time model
The professional model is useful for a low-quality AC network or a network overloaded with powerful equipment, where frequent voltage sags lead to frequent tripping of relays.
Activate the Pro model in order not to disconnect the equipment during voltage deviations of a safe magnitude and duration (see the table below). The Pro model is designed in accordance with recommendations for ensuring the stability of computers and other equipment against interference and interruptions in the ITIC power supply network (CBEMA).
Power-on delay
ZUBR D2 red allows you to set the delay time for turning on the load after an accident. By default, the relay factory defaults to a minimum delay of 3 seconds for switching on the load. Depending on the type of connected equipment, you can set it in the range from 3 to 600 seconds. For equipment sensitive to frequent power outages, such as refrigerators and air conditioners, it is recommended to set a switch-on delay of 2-3 minutes.
According to the factory settings, the delay is counted from the moment of voltage stabilization. You can also choose another type of delay in the settings, when the countdown starts from the moment the relay is turned off.
To quickly restore voltage throughout the house after an emergency, install ZUBR R116y for refrigeration equipment that requires a long turn-on delay.
Advanced settings to extend the life of your equipment:
Before applying the advanced settings, it is strongly recommended to make sure that the upper or lower voltage limits are set according to the quality of your particular network and the equipment being protected is tolerant to them.
1. Hysteresis is an abbreviation on the HUS screen
Hysteresis is designed to optimize the number of trips when the network voltage is close to the set limits and is unstable. If it is no longer possible to expand the limits of the voltage range, add hysteresis in the range from 0 to 5 V. Before applying the load to the connected equipment, make sure that the voltage has shifted from the limits by the value of the hysteresis and only then apply the load to it.
2. Protection against frequent triggers in a row — the abbreviation on the rEP screen
To exclude the harmful effect of frequent short-term activations on the equipment being protected, enable the "Maximum number of consecutive activations" function. It is necessary to protect equipment sensitive to frequent activations, such as a refrigerator or air conditioner.
When the protection is activated a set number of times in a row, for example 5, the relay will turn off the equipment being protected and lock, while the message "rEP" will appear on the screen. Blocking allows you to draw the user's attention to a network problem or the need to make changes to relay settings.
Unlock the relay by pressing any button and check the cause of tripping in the Accident Log. If necessary, change the protection settings, if this does not conflict with the capabilities of the connected load.
If the user for any reason did not pay attention to blocking the device, then after 1 hour the relay will unlock itself to ensure the temporary operation of the protected equipment. Please note that in such a situation, it is important to eliminate the cause of the relay tripping.
3. Disconnection time during voltage failure
A useful function for those whose network is overloaded with powerful equipment or its quality is insufficient and this leads to frequent voltage dips and, as a result, frequent tripping of relays. In such a situation, it is impossible to directly influence the circumstances, but you can reduce the number of relay disconnections by selecting the time that the relay will wait before disconnecting the load.
To correctly set the shutdown time, it is necessary to control the data to the protected equipment.
The time set in this way will only work when the voltage drops from 154 to 176 V (when the professional model is on) or from 120 to 210 V (when the professional model is off). In other situations, the shutdown time is fixed (see the table above).
Increased safety thanks to thermal protection
The temperature sensor inside the case ensures safety and turns off the load if the temperature inside the case exceeds 80 °C, the screen flashes with the inscription "oht". After the temperature drops below 60 °C, the device will turn on the load and resume operation.
If the protection is activated more than 5 times a day, the relay will be blocked and the inscription "oht" will be displayed continuously. Eliminate the overheating problem and wait until the temperature inside the relay drops below 60 °C - the relay will indicate this by a dot at the end of "oht." Then press any button on the relay to unlock.
To view the temperature inside the case during overheating, press the "i" button. If there is no overheating, hold "i" for 24 seconds to view the temperature.
Convenience in management
ZUBR D2 red has a very convenient standardized input-output connection, there is no need to use a zero terminal when connecting. Setting up the device is done using only three buttons. The four-button "i" is intended for viewing the log of emergency operations and deciphering the abbreviations of menu items. The digital screen constantly displays voltage values and displays system information. In standby mode, you can adjust the brightness of the screen and the indicator.
